History of The Deaf Agency In the mid-1990's, a Communication Support Worker (CSW) and parent of a deaf child realised that more CSWs were needed to help with communication support for the deaf community and so the Deaf Agency was started. Since then, the client list has grown and the agency has developed but one thing remains the same - four Communication Support Workers manage the Deaf Agency, meaning that the company is still run by experienced people that actually work in the field themselves, so can understand many of the situations/problems that are faced on a daily basis.

Changing the world for people who are deaf or have a hearing loss. Action on Hearing Loss is the new name of RNID, the largest charity representing the 10 million people who are deaf or have a hearing loss in the UK.
